For a long time, I believed I was a feminist. Oh boy, how wrong I was! I realized that I am not a feminist in the traditional sense. On the contrary, I want both men’s and women’s voices to be heard and appreciated. Through my podcast and my life experiences—growing up during war, witnessing warlords killing each other, and living in a patriarchal culture—I’ve come to feel deeply grateful for living in the Netherlands. Here, I can blend the cultures I know and understand into a fresh perspective on gender roles.

My personal journey and growth have inspired me to share my insights and help others recognize the value of understanding one another. By working together, we can create a better future and raise boys and girls in healthier, more balanced ways.
